On the 27th May 2008 Essential Edinburgh became the 5th BID in Scotland and the first in the capital and is centred on Princes Street, Rose Street and George Street. The successful ballot means that the Essential Edinburgh BID company is now charged with delivering a number of key projects and services in the BID area. The services that will be delivered fall into five categories; Area Promotion, Clean and Attractive, Safe and Secure, Accessibility and Facilitation.
