Dunfermline Delivers - The Vision“the objective of the BID is to increase the national and international competitiveness of Dunfermline’s central business location, to enhance the centre’s position as a destination for arts and culture, dining, entertainment and shopping, and to reinforce Dunfermline City Centre as a premier place to live” – BID Steering Group.![]()
The Dunfermline Delivers team led by Dunfermline Businesses and Dunfermline City Centre Management are proposing ambitious plans for the future development of the city centre, to help Dunfermline rise to challenges and grow, despite an increasingly competitive environment. The BID strategy will provide a mechanism for businesses to invest collectively to improve the long term trading environment of the city. Everyone contributes and everyone benefits. During the Spring of 2009 all eligible businesses will be asked to cast their vote in a formal and confidential ballot. In compliance with regulations Fife Council will be responsible for the postal ballot. In addition to planned consultation events, we will be carrying out as one to one consultations and gaining feedback via a questionniare. All information will be brought forward for consideration and will be fully utilised for the development of the final business plan, which will then be voted on.
